Since 1996, Global Youth Volunteer Network has offered justice education and leadership training to more than 15,000 Canadian youth.

Our Vision

Global Youth Network exists to provide you the opportunity to connect social justice education with action. Through our grassroots initiatives by working in solidarity with our diverse projects and partnerships, we foster young leaders to create change in our world.

Our Values

Global focuses on poverty, the environment and Indigenous world view, as the foundation to educating youth towards a social justice orientation.

Understanding multiple ways of knowing is key to reconciling differences and finding common ground. Global is currently invested in studying the Indigenous worldview, which provides an alternative lens for looking at current environmental issues and inequality. Global has developed close friendships with Indigenous communities across the world, a relationship that has fostered mutual discovery.

Our Focus

Global focuses on poverty, the environment and a holistic worldview, as the foundation to educating youth towards a social justice orientation.

Poverty

Poverty is the result of growing global inequality, and thus is a symptom of our sick society. We believe that healing can come through increased understanding and restored relationships

The Environment

Our current standard of living has put us in an environmental crisis. We believe, that by renewing our relationship with the environment, we can secure a better future.

Worldview

A holistic worldview provides an alternative lens for looking at current environmental issues and inequality. Global has developed close friendships with diverse communities across the globe to learn together, and create a more sustainable future.
